The Art of the Silk Scarf

At Jeelow, a silk scarf is everyday elegance—easy to style, lasting by design. Each piece begins with long-fiber mulberry silk and is finished with details chosen to honor the artwork and how the scarf will drape and move with you.

Crafted in Hangzhou

Our scarves are brought to life in Hangzhou, long celebrated as a historic home of silk. We partner with a specialist atelier with 20+ years of scarf-making expertise. An in-house design studio and modern printing sit alongside time-tested finishing, so every piece carries the quiet confidence of great craft.

1) The Soul: 100% Mulberry Silk

We use long-fiber, 100% mulberry silk for its naturally smooth hand, gentle luster, and beautiful drape. It is breathable and soft against skin—made to be worn, often.

2) The Finish: Hems That Shape the Drape

Hand-Rolled Hem (select styles)

A softly rounded, hand-stitched edge that adds body and dimension—timeless with twills, heritage prints, and dressier looks.

Fine Machine Hem (select styles)

A clean, flat edge that keeps modern and graphic designs crisp—light, durable, and perfect for everyday styling.

Hem finishes vary by style; please refer to each product page for exact specifications.

3) The Color: Print Methods with Purpose

Double-Sided Digital Printing (select styles)

Rich, saturated color on both faces for a truly reversible look, with sharp detail at the edges and minimal show-through.

Single-Sided Digital Printing (select styles)

Deep color on the front with a soft echo on the reverse—ideal for intricate, nuanced patterns and lighter looks.

The print method is matched to the artwork; see product pages for details.

4) The Feel: Understanding Momme

Momme (mm) measures silk’s weight and density. Higher momme means more substance, opacity, and durability; lower momme feels airier and more fluid. We curate weights to suit each design—from light and floaty to more structured and plush—and list the momme on every product page so you can choose the drape you love.

5) Care

  • Hand wash cold with a mild detergent.
  • Do not wring or twist; press gently in a towel.
  • Lay flat to dry away from direct sun; cool iron on reverse with a cloth.
  • Store flat or loosely rolled to avoid hard creases.
