No motif to explain, which is the point.

Abstract Dream is broad brushed washes of rose, plum, coral and violet running into one another, held in by a navy edge — a painted abstract rather than a repeat, so no two areas of the piece look the same. Vibrant Floral is the opposite register: wide open daisies in scarlet and deep purple crowding a cream ground, bordered in aubergine.

At 25 by 74 inches this is blanket scale rather than a neck scarf. It is long enough to loop twice at the collar with the ends still hanging, and wide enough to open out across the shoulders, or fold over a lap on a plane or at a desk that never gets warm enough. The ends are left frayed rather than stitched down, which is what keeps it looking relaxed instead of formal.

Both faces are finished, so it works flipped either way, or twisted once at the front so both tones show at the same time.
