It moves like silk. It is not silk, and that is the point.
What it is made of: 100% polyester chiffon with a matte surface and no shine. It is cool to the touch in warm weather and there is real weight in the drape, so it falls and stays where you put it instead of drifting. It resists creasing, which is the practical difference between this and a silk scarf of the same size — this one comes out of a packed bag ready to wear.
Is it real silk? No. It is polyester, and we would rather say so plainly. What you trade is the fibre; what you get back is a piece you can machine wash at home, pack without care, and buy at a fraction of what mulberry silk costs.
Size: measured approximately 70.9 x 27.6 in. A long rectangle, not a square — long enough to loop twice at the throat with both ends still hanging, wide enough to open across the shoulders or wrap over the hair on a windy day.
Finishing: a narrow rolled hem on all four sides with square corners, so nothing frays and the rectangle keeps its shape through washing.
Ten solid colours: ivory white, sand beige, mocha taupe, sage green, mist blue, ocean blue, blush pink, purple lavender, steel gray and classic black. One shade per piece.
Care: machine wash cold on a gentle cycle, lay flat to dry.
