Details

Navy with grey dots at one end, grey with navy dots at the other. The pattern turns itself inside out along the length, and that reversal is the whole design.

What it is made of: a polyester and viscose blend, very soft, cool to the touch, and crinkled throughout. The ends are left frayed rather than hemmed, which keeps a dark navy piece from reading as formal.

Size: measured approximately 23.6 x 72.8 in. — the long narrow shape that goes twice around the throat with the ends still hanging.

What it does when you wear it: fold it one way and the dark half sits at your throat, fold it the other and the pale half does. The dots are small enough that from a few paces they read as texture rather than as spots, which is why it goes with a striped shirt instead of competing with one.
