Yes, this is 100% mulberry silk — 14 momme charmeuse. Lotus and peony are washed onto a pale ground in indigo, sepia and blush, with the pigment left to bleed at the edges the way ink does on rice paper. Fine gold lines draw the grasses and seed heads over the top, and a dusty rose border closes the square.

• 14 MOMME MULBERRY SILK CHARMEUSE 100% mulberry silk, printed on the face. Charmeuse is a satin weave, so the face carries a soft sheen and the reverse stays matte, and it falls in looser folds than a twill of the same weight.

• INK WASH LOTUS AND PEONY Bleeding indigo and sepia washes with gold line work, inside a dusty rose border.

• SIZE AND STYLING Measures approximately 34 x 34 in. Folded corner to corner it covers the shoulders; rolled thin it becomes a headband, a ponytail tie or a band around a bag strap.

• A MACHINE-ROLLED EDGE Unlike most of this collection, this colourway is finished with a machine-rolled hem rather than a hand-rolled one.

• THE EDGE The edges are machine rolled rather than hand rolled, which gives a flatter, more uniform border.

• CARE Hand wash cool with a mild detergent for silk, or dry clean. Do not bleach, do not tumble dry, cool iron on the reverse and lay flat in the shade.
