What it is: a 100% cotton denim apron with the straps already sewn into place. You drop it over your head and go — no threading, no reaching behind you for a knot. Measures approximately 42.3 in. across by 33.5 in. long, with a 23.6 in. shoulder strap.

Why the sewn-in straps

Tying an apron sounds like a small thing until you are doing it four times a day with wet hands. This one has nothing to fasten and nothing to work loose halfway through.

The widest cut we make

At roughly 42.3 in. across it is wider through the body than any other apron in our range, wide enough to wrap round the sides rather than just cover the front. Two pockets sit on the front for a phone, a notepad or a pair of tongs.

Why no two are identical

The cloth is 100% cotton denim put through a long wash cycle that softens the hand and pulls the color back to a lived-in blue. Every batch goes through that wash separately, so shade and texture vary from piece to piece. Pocket interiors and the rolled hem sit darker than the body, and the fine speckling across the front shifts between pieces. That is the wash doing what it is supposed to do, not a flaw.

Care

Machine wash cold with like colors. Hang dry — cotton denim shrinks in a hot dryer.
