Yes, this is 100% mulberry silk — 12 momme silk charmeuse, finished with a narrow rolled hem.
A white ground drawn with tall sailing ships under full rig, with rope knots and anchors worked between them in navy, powder blue and tan, all of it held inside a navy banded border.
Nautical prints usually go one of two ways: stripes, or a scattering of anchors. This one does neither — the ships are drawn in enough detail to read as ships, which is what keeps it from looking like a souvenir.
At approximately 21 x 21 in. it knots at the collar, folds down into a headband, wraps twice around hair, or ties to a bag handle so a plain tote reads finished.
