• DRAWN, NOT TILED: The motif reads as a study rather than a repeating commercial pattern, which is why it can carry the color in an outfit that is otherwise entirely quiet.

• 108 GRAMS, SIX AND A HALF FEET: 210 x 70 cm (82.7" x 27.6") through the printed panel and about 108 grams for the whole piece, plus roughly 9 cm (3.5") of softly frayed edge at each end. Long enough to double twice at the neck or knot at the waist over a swimsuit, light enough to forget you put it on.

• PURE LINEN, MINIMALLY PROCESSED: Woven from flax and finished without heavy processing. New linen is crisp rather than soft; it is not intended to feel like brushed cotton, and the drape softens gradually with wear and washing.

• HOW TO KEEP IT: Hand wash separately in cold water with a mild detergent. No bleach, no wringing. Press the water out with a towel and dry flat in the shade, away from tumble dryers and direct heat.

The beauty of linen, and what to expect

Print density and ground tone vary a little between production runs. Colors read differently in daylight, indoor light and on a screen. A little loose fiber in the first weeks is normal and settles down.
